BrandNu Design Studio partnered with the City of Dubuque and Saiki Design to lead community engagement efforts for the revitalization of Comiskey Park in Dubuque’s North End Neighborhood.

The engagement process included public meetings, workshops, and community surveys designed to gather direct input from residents on the future of the park. Through these conversations, community members helped shape priorities for recreation, accessibility, circulation, safety, and public gathering space within the park.

Community feedback directly informed the design direction for new amenities including basketball courts, an inclusive playground, splash pad, shade structures, flexible lawn space, and improved pedestrian connections to the surrounding neighborhood, Bee Branch Greenway, and Heritage Trail.

The project reflects a community-centered design approach where resident input played a direct role in shaping the future vision for one of the neighborhood’s key public spaces.
