Law Park

Madison, Wisconsin

BrandNu Design Studio partnered with Urban Assets, ZebraDog, and SmithGroup to provide community engagement services for the City of Madison’s Law Park Master Plan, a major public planning initiative focused on the future of Madison’s downtown lakefront.

The engagement strategy included a series of public workshops and outreach activities designed to gather input from residents across the city regarding the future vision, programming, and public use of Law Park. BrandNu Design Studio developed youth-focused engagement programming to expand participation and bring additional community voices into the planning process.

As part of the initiative, BrandNu Design Studio hired and mentored four local youth as Hip Hop Architecture ambassadors who participated in public meetings and community outreach efforts throughout the project. The engagement process concluded with the production of an original song, “A Madison Lakefront Park For All,” recorded at the Madison Public Library with local hip hop artist Rob Dz, translating community feedback into a creative public narrative about the future of the lakefront.
